HISTORY 

The company was founded in 1938. It was a small metal-manufacturing company, which has gradually developed into a Design and Construction Office. The main production included the equipment and spare parts for industrial companies. Since 1992 a variety of wheelchairs and other compensatory technologies for the disabled people have been started to construct and produce. 

 

PRODUCTION 

After the introduction of new advanced technologies and materials, currently the stock-company manufactures about 100 different products. Particular attention is given for children with complex disabilities especially cerebral paralysis. A series of measures aimed for children education and a variety of wheelchairs for people with disabilities including those, who move and do sport, are produced. The wheelchairs may be produced and adapted under individual requirements. Besides, the company designs and manufactures measures for the nursing and service of patients and disabled people. 

In recent years the company has significantly expanded the range of products and started to cooperate with Western European manufacturers. The products of the company meet the requirements for high quality, aesthetics and ergonomics. These are climbers, transfer systems, mobile and stationary funiculars and other equipment to help people with limited mobility to move. 

 

SURROUNDING ADAPTATION

The company makes effort to adapt the accommodation and surrounding for the needs of disable people – handrails, slopes, ramps and other necessary equipment are produced and installed.

The company produces and installs manually operated machines for all models of cars.

 

EXPORT

The production is exported to England, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Belarus. Currently an export promotion program under the project „Assimilation of new export markets and the development of present market export scopes in JSC „PUNTUKAS“ is implemented successfully. The project is partially funded by the EU regional development fund by implementing the 2007-2013 program of economic development.

The company has installed a complex quality management system under the requirements of international standard ISO
